One of the world’s leading construction companies asked Boxwood to work with them to review all aspects of their Nordic operations. A multi-disciplinary team of Boxwood and client staff carried out a ten week review that resulted in design of a comprehensive transformation programme embracing business development, innovation, project execution, management of the supply chain, support services, leadership and management of change. The programme proposal was fully endorsed by the regional leadership teams and is about to move into the implementation phase.

A FTSE Top 100 Company realised that there were significant business benefits to be made by optimising their purchasing and supply chain processes. We also supported them in re-structuring their supply base and introducing a collaborative approach to product design, development and supply. We designed and delivered an in-depth performance improvement programme, which included suppliers and service providers, that reduced operational costs whilst maintaining quality and creating an ongoing, cost conscious culture. As part of the programme we developed, trained and coached over 800 people; embedding new processes to ensure sustainability. Costs were reduced by over £700m.

A multi award-winning European technology retailer has grown more than 40% in 4 years. As a consequence the internal information systems department has been growing rapidly year on year. This has caused productivity to fall and cost to spiral as complexity, legacy and the sheer pace of change swamped the organization and impacted its ability to maintain and deliver new systems. In conjunction with the new CTO, Boxwood designed and then delivered a 2 year transformation programme to radically improve the leadership, management, processes, toolset, ‘customer focus’ and sourcing strategy. This has already led to a 10% (bottom line) value improvement from improved productivity and improved procurement. Further major benefits are due as a result of sourcing and systems refresh / re-platforming.
