Company History
The firm is amongst the largest in the south west with c. 130 people, all centred in Plymouth. Recent growth in the firm has been in commercial property, corporate transactions and employment, where the firm has built a sound track record with high calibre lawyers who have been attracted to the firm. Future development will build on this success and the opportunities that arise from recent growth in commercial business.
Partners are well respected and widely recognised in the local business community, with key personnel highly rated in their areas of expertise in the South West. This creates plenty of opportunity to open doors for new lawyers keen to make their mark and achieve recognition in a very sociable environment. It is fitting that Wolferstans celebrates its bi-centenary in the 2012 Olympic year, with the firm’s close involvement, sponsorship and participation in all the leading local sports clubs, ranging from rugby to netball and mixed hockey; there are particularly close associations with Plymouth Argyle - football, Plymouth Albion - rugby, Plymouth Raiders - basketball.
