Michael Page backs Breast Cancer Care

In 2006 Michael Page is attempting to raise over £120,000 for Breast Cancer Care, the UK’s leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer.
Why we chose Breast Cancer Care

We chose Breast Cancer Care because of the quality of the work that it does in supporting those affected by breast cancer, which is now the most common cause of cancer and the second greatest cause of death for women in the UK today.
As an organisation we greatly appreciate the tremendous contribution that women make to our country in general and to our business in particular. It is a little known fact that we employ more female consultants than male; 52% versus 48%
While there are many charities that research prevention and future cures. Breast Cancer Care is the leading UK charity that provides immediate front-line support to those living with breast cancer today.
Fundraising events

Given the importance of Breast Cancer Care's work we are determined to meet our ambitious fund-raising target of £120,000. To achieve this goal we’ve planned a series of events during 2006:
- We’re participating in the 2006 ING New York City Marathon with a 45-strong team of clients and staff as part of a wider campaign to raise £100,000. The marathon will take place on 5 November and Michael Page participants are each expected to raise between £2,000 - £2,500 in sponsorship. Michael Page will kick start each individual effort with a £300 donation and will provide another £200 when the individual reaches their fundraising target.
- We will also be organising a range of other activities to raise another £100,000, including a Pro-Am golf day and charity dinners throughout the year. A ‘Ben Nevis Challenge’, regional runs and charity football games are also planned.
Get involved

Why not help us to reach our target by doing your bit; there are many ways to get involved. You could run the Great North Run, climb Ben Nevis, host a pink party or trek in Peru.
