1. Our Expertise
Now that you have registered with Michael Page Secretarial, you will be given the opportunity to have completely confidential, two-way discussions with your consultant. Our consultants have in-depth knowledge of the current secretarial job market. They know where the top jobs are and who is recruiting. They also know about the sort of competition that you will be up against and how your own skills and experience compare. You will be given an honest and objective assessment as to the way forward, and if necessary, you will also be offered career counselling or additional training in an attempt to identify exactly what your next step should be.
2. Your Plan
We understand that every candidate who walks through our doors has their own unique set of skills and experiences. Your consultant will put together a Personal Action Plan in order to equip you in your job search. You may for example, be given a checklist of points to work on prior to interview. We will personalise the way that we promote you, adapting our methods to suit you.
3. The Preparation
Pre-interview briefings are crucial and an important part of the Michael Page Secretarial service. Before each interview, your consultant will give you as much information as possible about the client, the role, the team, the structure and culture of the company, the style of interview which will be conducted, what research you can do – and whilst addressing any concerns you might have about the interview. We will talk you through it all the way. We want to help you get that job of your dreams.
4. Feedback To You
Many of our candidates have told us how strongly they have benefitted from honest and constructive feedback after an unsuccessful interview. We make it our business to provide you with constructive feedback and advice. When you are offered a position, we are on hand to provide advice and support to ensure that you make the right decisions with regard to your job offer and resignation from your current role. Even when you take up your new position we will keep in contact with you to ensure a smooth transition period.
5. Our Communication
We want to talk to you on a regular basis – whether you have seen an advert for a job that interests you or you have learnt a new software package – it all helps guiding us to find your perfect job. Your consultant is never more than a phone call away and is on hand to discuss jobs. Please feel free to call your consultant any time for a chat about any aspect of your career. Remember, we regularly host events (e.g. fashion or beauty evenings) for candidates and clients. These are ideal opportunities to network, meet people and say hello to your consultant.
