Training as a Graduate
Similar to the training given to everyone joining Michael Page, Graduate training has been developed to fully induct individuals to the recruitment industry with comprehensive training in best practice.
Broken down into three modules, the objective of the programme is to provide first class training and to give our graduates the ability to practice the basic skills required to be a successful recruitment consultant.
Undertaken by all new graduates across all business disciplines the timings of the course are as follows:
Induction Programme - First two days in the business
Module 1 – 1-2 day course, which takes place circa 7 weeks in the busines
Module 2 – 2 day course, which takes place 6-8 weeks after module 1
Module 3 – 1 day course, which takes place 6-8 weeks after module 2
The training is very interactive and utilises a variety of techniques which include theory based classroom style, lead discussions, group exercises, role plays and presentations by the delegates practised in a ‘safe’ environment. This is augmented by training received in the business through mentoring and a buddy system to facilitate ‘live’ practice at the desk.
All training is run in house by our own directors and managers who will complete all the modules with the graduates to ensure continuity throughout the programme.
Feedback is a key part of the learning and all graduates will receive feedback not only after each module but throughout their training.
