Paid Summer Internship Programme- re-opens March 2009

We are ideally looking for penultimate* year students who are confident, determined and keen to find out more.
What will you get out of the paid summer internship?
The Michael Page International summer internship will start at the beginning of July, running until the end of August. It is designed to give you a taster of what a career in recruitment is really like and immerse you in the day to day activities of the role. During the paid 8 week period your time will be broken down as follows:
Week 1:
- Induction programme to develop your knowledge of the business,build your IT skills and introduce you to the recruitment cycle;
- You will spend four weeks with your team, shadowing consultants and getting involved in the candidate cycle.
Week 5:
- Come together with your fellow interns at the mid-point of the internship to review your progress so far;
- You will spend four weeks with your team getting involved in the client cycle.
Week 8:
- ‘Graduation’ where you will receive constructive feedback from managers and mentors involved in your training.
What happens to the relationship afterwards?
We at Michael Page International know that the summer internship will leave you with a great understanding of the recruitment industry, a feel for the dynamic ethos of our company and leave you wanting to get more involved!
Should you develop a genuine interest in the role and we feel you have demonstrated the right competencies for a successful career in recruitment, we will arrange for you to meet a relevant manager of one of our teams. They will interview you for a place on our highly successful Graduate Recruitment Scheme.

If successful at this stage you will be contacted to carry out a telephone interview, and the final selection process will involve an assessment centre. The assessment centres are being held in April and May 2009.
