Salary Survey 2010
For the most part, 2009 was client lead and monstrously competitive, with only the most business critical roles being released to market. Most candidates were too nervous to make a move unless forced to do so. Subsequently, most candidates became more flexible and were willing to consider a drop in salary or a charging a much lower contract daily rate.
However, it’s not all bad news. In the Autumn of 2009 the tap was turned back on; firstly in consultancy and then in corporates, initially in Financial Services followed by other sectors. The demand for talented strategy professionals was high and continues to be so, along with cost reduction and process improvement specialists. Going forward, key candidates will now receive multiple offers and make decisions not only based on remuneration but also on the career prospects, training and security of the position on offer.
Our 2010 Salary Survey has been derived using salary information based on candidate offers throughout 2009 supplemented by our considered opinion of the market place. We hope this survey provides you with a valuable insight into salary levels and the current market.
