Company Secretaries
There has been significant change within the Company Secretarial arena due in part to the new Companies Act 2006 (much of which comes into play from October of this year), but also due to the current economic downturn.
Previously a Company Secretary for CIT Group (UK) Ltd and with experience working in a leading bank, Matthew Lodge feels that “the major challenge for Company Secretariats is to be seen to be doing the right thing as well as promoting best practice.” There is currently a constant stream of new legislation that teams need to keep abreast of, coupled with the need to be ever more transparent within business – a lesson learnt from the recent MP’s expenses scandal.
With a well established network of relationships with the Legal and Finance divisions of companies that include most of the FTSE listed companies, multinationals and medium to small business, Michael Page Legal’s In-House team has a proven track record of placing exceptional Company Secretaries.
