The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland is the largest and longest established accountancy body in Ireland. Established in 1888, it is the leading voice of the accountancy profession in Ireland.

65 per cent of CAs make their careers in the arenas of finance, business and industry. The other 35 per cent of Irish CAs work in practice, lending their expertise in audit, tax, accountancy and consultancy to a wide range of clients.

Nine of the top 10 ISEQ companies have a CA as their financial director or chief executive and the top 10 professional accounting firms are chartered firms. It’s no coincidence that CAs are seen as the elite of the finance profession.
