Special Needs Teaching Jobs

Special Educational Needs, or SEN teachers are specifically employed to work with children and young people who have learning difficulties, including physically disabled, deaf or blind, emotionally vulnerable and even gifted children. Although they teach within the national curriculum, a SEN will, where necessary, adapt this to meet the needs of their pupils.

Ultimately, the SEN teacher is responsible for ensuring every child with special educational needs reaches their full potential in school and can make a successful transition to adulthood, higher education, training or work. One of the most demanding jobs in education, it is certainly the most rewarding.

At Michael Page Education we share your passion for empowering pupils with special educational needs. We’ve made it a priority to understand what you do and who you do it for, establishing relationships with SEN teachers and the services that use them, including special schools, pupil referral units, community homes, hospital schools and youth custody centres.
