Schools Recruitment

Michael Page Education recruits on behalf of primary and secondary, state, independent, faith and SEN schools, as well as academies and FE institutions across London. We’re trusted by these institutions to find, assess the suitability of and deliver teachers from, NQTs, to school leaders, learning support professionals, bursars and exam invigilators that make our education system one of the best in the world.

Michael Page has been at the forefront of global recruitment for some 30 years, establishing over 100 offices in 28 countries worldwide. We’ve built our reputation and success on understanding the markets we serve and treating the businesses and candidates we work on behalf of with the respect they deserve. Whatever area of education you work in, we have the resources, experience and dedication to find you the professionals you need.

As we pointed out, our success has been built on understanding the peculiarities of recruiting within those markets we serve. Education is no exception and we’re sensitive to the criteria that teaching and support professionals must fulfil before they can contribute within UK schools, academies and colleges.

For those education professionals that have arrived from overseas we ensure they bring all necessary documentation, including proofs of identity, their right to work in the UK, original teaching qualifications, GTC registration number, where relevant, overseas police clearance, where relevant, and CRB/Vetting and Barring clearance.

At Michael Page Education, candidate vetting is taken very seriously. We recognise our accountability when it comes to preventing unsuitable people from working with children and our policies and procedures have been developed with this in mind.

For an education professional to be accepted onto our books, they must comply with Michael Page Education’s stringent referencing procedures. Where possible, we employ a system of 360 degree referencing. To gain an accurate impression of a candidate's suitability, we need perspective on the skills, values and behaviours they’ve exhibited over time. The most reliable resource for this information is the candidate's current and former managers, peers and direct reports; thus the term 360 degree referencing.

Ultimately, when you approach Michael Page Education to handle your next recruitment assignment, you can do so, confident that our candidates will be:

  • Professionals that will make an impact from day one
  • Individuals that can be trusted to work with children and young adults
