World Class Commissioning survey
World Class Commissioning aims to provide a health service characterised by free choice across a range of providers, in settings convenient to the people that use them and with an increased focus on prevention and promotion of wellbeing.
Michael Page Health and Social Care has been working with the NHS for over 30 years, recruiting on their behalf and providing them with invaluable market information. Keeping up this tradition, we wanted to conduct research that would determine the impact of WCC on NHS professionals and increase transparency for the senior management responsible for recruitment.
This research came in the form of a survey targeting more than 5000 people with first hand experience of working for and with the NHS. Respondents included professionals in Accountancy, Commissioning, HR, Legal, Marketing and Communications, Procurement, Sales and Technology, and the results suggested a mixed reaction to this ambitious initiative:
- 28% of respondents did not feel supported by the initiative
- 66% of respondents felt the public should be made more aware of WCC
We decided to market the results to promote the NHS as thought leaders within the public sector. Why go to these lengths? Because at Michael Page Health and Social Care, your business is our business; understanding your market means we understand your needs and are in a position to service them. If you would like to discuss the results of the survey or receive a copy of the full report, please contact Mike Hackett.
