Job Description

The 2nd Line Support Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT infrastructure including desktop environments, all hardware & software, server infrastructure & business IT systems etc… You will also act as an appropriate point of escalation for less technical members of staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for all aspects of the IT infrastructure
  • Ensure effective monitoring of IT Services
  • Continuous improvement of IT services
  • Ensure escalated Service Desk incidents/requests are resolved effectively and within the agreed SLA.
  • Contribute to and follow all IT processes
  • Actively participate or lead projects as required
  • Lead process improvements activities as required
  • Build relationships internally to ensure effective IT service delivery.
  • Coach and mentor other members of the IT team.
  • Responsible for all levels of administration & documentation
  • Support of regional server systems
  • To assist with day to day investigation and resolution of incidents logged or escalated by IT analysts
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly backups completed to schedule
  • Ensure system documentation is present and correct for the network and server infrastructure as required
  • Work to a rota of out of hours support

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • Technical experience with hands on experience of multi-site
  • Extensive experience of VMWare/Hyper-V
  • Microsoft qualification (MCSE, MCITP,CNNA) - desired
  • ITIL awareness
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008
  • Exchange 2010/2013,
  • Experience of supporting SQL 2008/2012/2014
  • Experience of Microsoft Lync 2013
  • Experience of Office 2010 and 2013
  • Knowledge of SSCM/SCOM
  • Experience of hands-on CISCO LAN management and troubleshooting
  • Experience of Veeam
