About Our Client

The Retail Agency is a growing strategic brand and marketing agency that focuses on influencing shoppers to act. They have an increasing range of national and international retailers and brands as clients. They are a fast growing business that are at the beginning of their journey, and the successful Account Manager will play an integral part of building on existing clients, whilst assisting in the wins of new work.

Job Description

What would be a huge advantage for this particular role, would be to come from a Direct Marketing background - either agency or client side. Some clients that would sit in this Account Managers patch, have a DM requirement, so a strong understanding of this would be hugely beneficial, although not 100% essential.

As mentioned previously, the clients range from retailers, to strong FMCG brands both nationally and internationally. Therefore, it comes with high pressures and demands to achieve. A part of the role is to also mentor and develop the junior end of the team, which is something the agency feel very strongly about.

It is a close team that all work hard together. The successful Account Manager must share this natural team spirit to pass the interview process.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced managing multiple campaigns/work loads.
  • Strong attention to detail even whilst under pressure.
  • Happy and have a history of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Comfortable mentoring a more junior member of the team and distributing work load to them.
  • Ideally from an agency background or a retail client side background.
  • Huge advantage is having a DM background.
  • A natural relationship builder and team player.
  • Happy to stay within Manchester but also occasional travel
  • Strong communicator with internal colleagues but also clients at all levels
