My client specialises in producing high level medical products and technologies on a global scale. They provide an extensive array of medical supply services including, but not limited to, ostomy care, wound care and infusion devices.

My client is experienced and multinational - it has sites in 8 countries and does business in more than 100 countries.

Job Description

The Account Manager will be principally responsible for constructing and advancing desirable relationships with crucial target accounts which will further the sales and market share of products, parallel to expectations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Consistent delivery of sales targets across region
  • Demonstration of thorough clinical and product knowledge within strategic indication areas
  • Construct broad consumer influencing map
  • Drive and support product implementation across care settings
  • Initiate and facilitate hospital & community product evaluations
  • Assist the development of localised case studies and evaluations for publication
  • Build platform for sales prospects by designing local educational activities to raise awareness of therapy areas
  • Maximise peer to peer selling
  • Promote local product advocates

The Successful Applicant

The Account Manager will:

  • Ideally be degree qualified
  • Be experienced in selling within medical/pharmaceutical industry
  • Be experienced in Primary care or Secondary care
  • Must be able to travel across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region
  • Have ability to negotiate with vital decision makers
  • Exhibit ability to consistently exceed targets
  • Appropriately complete assigned projects on time
  • Be highly motivated and possess ability to operate at an independent level
  • Possess extensive knowledge of market competitors
  • Be experienced in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Identify key customers within accounts and clarify individual influences on buying decisions.
  • Have a clear understanding on all external influences impacting on decision making
  • Focus on developing clinical advocates for key brands through good selling, audit and evaluations
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager to identify & secure resources to support develop business opportunities

What's on Offer

£30,000 - £35,000 basic salary.
