Job Description

The Accounting Manager role will be based in Luxembourg and will be looking to fulfil the following role -

Management and team worker -

  • Supervising a team of accountants and administrative assistants promoting a team spirit
  • Performing a periodic performance assessment of the staff members
  • Planned the tasks of the team to ensure reporting within tight deadlines

Accounting and related services -

  • Responsible for all accounting, tax income, VAT declaration for the company and all client companies domiciled in company
  • Preparation of month end Management accounts and other financial reports as required
  • Managing cash accounts including monthly cash flow reports and suppliers payments
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and similar financial projections
  • Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS's and coordinating year-end audits
  • Control of the invoicing process
  • Control of the intercompany process fees
  • Monitor if the client companies of his/her companies are compliant with respect to the filing of the VAT, tax and annual accounts
  • Insure the closing of the accounting of the company and client companies
  • Insure the reporting to the CSSF, ECDF
  • Insure the approval of the financial statement of the client companies under the form of Lux-Gaap, US-Gaap, IFRS
  • Provide the support to the auditors concerning the audit process for the company and the client companies
  • Knowledge about SOPARFI, SPV's Holdings
  • Insure the efficient cash collection and provide the cash collection reporting
  • Manage the Ageing debtors balance
  • Taking part in the setup and winding-up of the Luxembourg structures of his/her clients

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounting Manager candidate will be based in Luxembourg and keen to relocate or remain for the foreseeable future. They will also posses -

  • Bachelor or Masters in Business Fund Administration, Accounting, Economics and Professional Qualification Equivalents
  • Fluent in English and French Written and spoken. Any additional language would be considered as an advantage
  • Have proven relevant professional experience in accounting function (5-7 years) in fund industry and corporate services
  • Competence in excel and accounting packages
  • Have strong organisational skills, attention to details and ability to work under pressure to prioritising tasks
  • Have an excellent communication skills and team spirit
