Job Description

Area Manager Leeds, Bradford, £40,000 - £50,000 + Car, Bonus

  • Proactively build a transparent relationship with your Teams And Partners that drives value and maximises the profit opportunity of every outlet for both the Partner and share holders
  • Establish trust and confidence between all Partners on your area through regular and effective communication, delivering agreed support/tasks first time every time
  • Develop a clear vision to deliver your area budget focusing on Key Performance Indicators such as organic sales growth, reduced leakage, improved cost control and operating profit
  • Utilise every opportunity to drive organic growth through enterprising business initiatives including promoting the sale of our branded products, ensuring that every business has the correct product range supported by the appropriate marketing material. Continually look for new growth opportunities in each business
  • To be proactive in building a recruitment talent bank of prospective Partners and Managers that have the vision, skills, experience and motivation to be successful in building their own business. Build a solid working relationship with the Central Recruitment team ensuring a joined up approach to recruitment that reduces time to fill closed and TAW sites
  • Proactively build strong relationships with local business, commerce and networking groups within your geographical area to maximise opportunities to engage with individuals out with the industry
  • Reduce business failures by staying close to the reality of business and reacting quickly and proactively with business support to the appropriate Partners and Teams. Confront continued poor performance and remove the relevant Partners swiftly and replace in accordance with your area talent bank. No pub to be a TAW longer than six months
  • Relentlessly look for opportunities to develop the skills of our Partners and teams so that they are better skilled in driving the performance of their businesses. Utilise the expertise of the business Progress team to deliver the Partner training offer, tool kits and resources to create a unique, exciting and relevant training experience
  • Manage the area investment program working in conjunction with the Property Manager to deliver successful investments for our Partners and achieve the targeted return on investment for share holders

The Successful Applicant

Demonstrate Leadership behaviours, including:

  • Develops and communicates a clear vision to succeed
  • Resourceful and resilient-Experience;
  • Good team player
  • Five years' experience in a customer facing multi-site management role
  • Sound Commercial and Business Acumen Experience
  • Competent Sales Negotiator
  • Computer literate - intermediate in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Power Point and advanced Excel
  • Degree calibre
  • Numerically competent with experience of Profit & Loss, cash flows and business accounts
  • Full GB Driving Licence
