About Our Client

My client are a market leading brand in the UK's HVAC industry.

They have a long standing reputation for quality products, first class customer support and innovative solutions.

Established in the 80's, they sell a range of flue gas, pressure and temperature testing equipment in addition to many more useful tools and accessories.

In addition to manufacturing and distribution, my client offer maintenance or servicing contracts for the equipment sold, providing a second revenue stream for the business.

Their business plan is based around sustainable growth. Sales targets will be challenging but never unachievable.

My client are subsequently looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their already established team to manage the South East.

Job Description

The role will involve supporting and developing existing key customers within the assigned territory, in addition to finding new customers and business development work.

A proven track record in identifying new opportunities, networking and closing new business is essential.

Full product training will be provided on the comprehensive portfolio of products, which will enable the Area Sales Manager to identify commercial opportunities and feel confident in front of customers.

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for planning and organising their own diary.

Trade Events and Exhibitions will be an inherent part of the role to increase brand awareness amongst merchants and installers to increase sales.

Customer relationship management will be critical to the candidate's success as Area Sales Manager.

You should be someone who does what you say you are going to do, answers the phone (or at least returns a call ASAP), and deals with a problem for a customer head on.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be based within the stated territory.

Territory: PO, GU, BN, RH, TN, ME, SL, TN, CT, SW, WC, W, KT, TW, UB, SM, CR, BR, DA.

A full driving licence is required.

The candidate will be capable of independent working: Organised in their approach with a drive and desire for success.

You will have responsibility for all aspects of business generation from initial contact with prospective clients to presenting to board management level.

This is a technical sales role so IT forms an increasing part in the product portfolio, reporting and managing your time: The candidate must comfortable with Windows based applications and mobile apps etc.

The candidate does not need industry experience within gas or selling to merchants, although such experience could be an advantage. My client are looking for someone with a proven track record of selling; someone who can bring a fresh perspective to the business and industry.

£35,000 Basic Salary

£49,000 OTE (commission uncapped)
