Job Description

Reporting to the UK Sales Director in this newly created role you will be covering a Midlands / Northern territory in order to assist the extensive growth in the UK. The business are a high end tool manufacturer that have an existing distribution network that you will be responsible for growing in order to continue the UK's exciting expansion plans.

Typical duties;

  • Analyse the UK marketplace for specific product categories.
  • Develop and provide data on markets, customers and competitors in the region.
  • Support the existing distribution network sales forces with product training
  • Dual visits with existing sales members within the distributor network (with a specific focus on Key Account customers) which will include end user site visits and demonstrations.
  • Maintain a category / product focus and develop the top-accounts by expanding the range within these accounts.
  • Support the company with Trade Show duties
  • You will be based from home however extensive UK travel will be required initially. This is a fantastic role for a proactive, determined individual who is ambitious, to progress their career with a rapidly expanding business.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a successful Business Development Manager with a proven track record in an autonomous sales role, ideally representing a premium branded industrial product.
  • Have previous experience of working with and influencing across a number of markets - tool merchants, builders merchants, electrical wholesale, plumbing wholesale, hardware shops, agricultral wholesale, electronics, specialized wholesale.
  • Successfully demonstrate a proven track record in delivering growth within a specialist industrial client base via a distributor network, wholesalers and forging end-user relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An aptitude for selling premium, branded products.
  • High energy, enthusiastic individual that is driven and ambitious.
  • A strong product background, affinity towards tools and technology, taking a category approach.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A confident approach to leading product demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT literacy
  • Qualifications: A-levels or equivalent
