Job Description

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Interpret, define and implement contractual requirements for finance applications in the contract
  • Advise the senior management team of financial issues to ensure that duties and liabilities are understood / executed
  • Be the key point of contact for the offshore Sales, Purchase Ledgers and Cashiers functions and give advice and guidance to the on-site finance administrators
  • Support and identify contract changes and manage cost recovery /
  • Production and control of all project accounting
  • Advise the operational site team on financial matters to maintain operating efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the reporting requirements
  • Actively liaise with service / departmental managers to provide relevant and useful information
  • Assisting with the budgeting and cash forecasting processes in accordance with current guidelines
  • Prepare and consolidate the management accounts for review by the Finance Manager
  • Production and analysis of financial and non-financial KPI's
  • Prepare month end journals and reconcile general ledger balances
  • Ensure compliance with financial instructions to satisfy the needs on internal and external auditors
  • Pursue and maintain the aged debt profile
  • Support the Finance / Commercial Manager and undertake tasks as reasonably required

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant who ideally has experience of working within the Public Sector.
