My Client are a UK Market leader in their Category. A business that has seen YOY growth and boasts multiple stores across the UK, Ecommerce and Click and Collect Service.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Support the buyer in managing a range of products and accessories across branded and own brand

- Understand our core customer and build ranges and a promotional strategy that meets these needs and requirements.

- Identify gaps and opportunities and propose range enhancements

- Support the buyer in completing timely range reviews

- Use competitor and customer research to identify ranging opportunities

- Monitor sales and margin performance of the category and drive key KPIs of sales, £m, %m, rebates and contributions

- Support the buyer in supplier negotiations and supplier management.

- Successfully engage with our customers both in store and online through packaging, point of sale, copy, communications and launch documents

- Capture data and set up products accurately and on time

- Manage administrative requirements to ensure timely and correct R&Cs claims.

- Build strong working relationships with the supply, quality, brand, digital and marketing teams

- Proactively drive self-development with line manager using the performance development system

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role an excellent team ethic will be essential working alongside the buyer and wider team to deliver the category plan. Success in the role is dependent on taking a collaborative Can do approach cross functionally with strong communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain great working relationships. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to listen to and understand what customers want ensuring their expectations are exceeded with a great range, unbeatable value for money and outstanding service.
