About Our Client

My client is a FMCG business that has enjoyed huge growth recently and is looking grow its turnover by 25% in the next two years through organic growth and expansion through acquisitions. They are an interesting business and offer excellent exposure to all areas of finance and senior management as well as they chance to work autonomously.

Job Description

  • Manage and develop a wider team of 10, including 2 direct reports all of who are managers.
  • To manage the systems, procedures and controls, to improve efficiency within the department and ensure best practice is followed.
  • To oversee the month end procedures, ensuring timely delivery.
  • To oversee the budgeting process and have a hands on input to the tri-annual re-forecast process.
  • To support the FC in the year end Audit and Accounts prep.
  • To liaise on a cross functional basis to ensure financial efficiency and correct operation of systems within other departments and build strong positive working relationships.
  • Ensure all external reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Ensure Creditor Days are tightly managed.
  • Assist FC in management of company cash flow.
  • Monitor and control the use of resources on a cost effective basis.
  • Make recommendations for income generation and/or expenditure savings.
  • Accurately record and store information.
  • Obtain and evaluate information to aid decision-making.
  • Lead and contribute in discussions to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Maintain and present work in a professional manner and in a way that evokes confidence from other users.

The Successful Applicant

- A qualified accountant with minimum five years' experience working with an SME

- Experience should be within a similar role in a fast paced environment.

- Ability to pro-actively plan and take ownership of workload

- Strong time management & project planning skills.

What's on Offer

Salary is between £55000 and £60000 (+ benefits)
