Job Description

This role is a permanent position and is in recruitment company based in London.

The role includes:

  • Assisting/devising compliance protocols, processes and documentation for UK and Rest of World
  • Performing standard compliance checks and Audits for the Business (including UAE, South Africa, Ireland and North America) and providing reports to the relevant overseas Directors.
    • Organising and presenting Compliance & Immigration training workshops / roadshows
    • Intranet administration of Compliance sites (all regions)
    • Keeping up to date with immigration rules, updating policies and responding to immigration queries
    • Answering candidate issues and queries posed by the business
    • Responding to complaints from both Candidates and Clients - investigating and taking appropriate action. Providing weekly and monthly reports to Management - identifying patterns of behaviour
    • Investigating major incidents arising - e.g. fraud
    • Liaising with third party authorities - i.e. police
    • Performing No go words/blocks report - monthly audit
    • Internal CRB checking - managing and processing checks (updating policies alongside legal/company changes)
    • Data Protection duties - reviewing policies, addressing subject access requests, identifying issues in relation to our current policies.
    • Diversity work Provide support to other teams - including Marketing (campaigns/paid adverts etc), Business Technology (projects and risk management) and the Training team
  • Identifying and keeping checks on single/multi discipline Contracts with onerous terms (i.e. additional compliance)
  • Managing day to day duties of one direct report

The Successful Applicant

  • Must be extremely organised, efficient and able to multi-task
  • Familiar with UK Visa system and legislation relevant to the recruitment industry
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including conflict management and complaint handling
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Report writing at Board level
  • A proven track record of proactive approaches to identify processes for improvement and rolling out of new projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills
