Job Description

As an Assistant Merchandiser you will be responsible for the following:

  • To assist the Merchandisers in analysing supply chain and merchandising processes & systems to support specified product area.
  • Set-up, manage and follow up all merchandising administration systems and procedures to ensure product availability and delivery
    • Inventory management
    • Product availability management.
    • Management of stock within agreed targets.
    • Residual stock management
    • Effectively build and manage supplier relationships.
    • Forecast accuracy/planning
    • Data analysis & interpretation in order to drive sales and maximise new opportunities.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure stock is delivered on time, in full and within our terms and conditions and customer expectation.
  • Work alongside buying colleagues to ensure product mix for show is appropriate.
  • Ensure all continuity stock is available at all times
    • Manages the delivery schedule, flags any issues and is pro-active in mitigating any risks.
    • Provides information to Merchandiser and Buyers to pro-actively manage dormant stock
  • Agree objectives with direct reports, manage their performance and provide advice and guidance so they can function effectively and develop in their roles
