Job Description

Associate Director, New Business - Political Engagment Company

Aim:

  • To generate sales from new clients and new divisions of existing clients
  • Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales process across the company
  • Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and meet over-arching company-wide business plan.





Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales strategy which will increase turnover
    • Work with CEO and MD to develop a strategy which will increase sales
    • Define key new sectors which will enable the company to meet its turnover targets
    • Provide monthly reports detailing sales achieved and forecasts for the next quarter



  • Sourcing and managing new business opportunities
    • Source new business leads
    • Make direct contact with decision-maker and arrange at least six meetings per week
    • Manage attendance at new business meetings organised to ensure optimum outcome
    • Ensure each team books at least two new business meetings per week through tight management (see below)
    • Maintain accurate records of meetings booked and held
    • Maintain accurate records of follow up required in order to implement efficiently



  • Management responsibilities:
    • Review existing and formulate new sales processes to optimise efficiency and outcome
    • Review existing and implement new sales materials to ensure it is suitable for potential client base
    • Review materials and processes regularly to ensure they are up-to-date and effective
    • Undertake weekly review of sales opportunities and performance with each team
    • Produce weekly company-wide report highlighting opportunities and sales achieved
    • Provide monthly report to Advisory Board detailing progress made against business plan and sales plan



  • Marketing:
    • Establish marketing strategy to increase visibility and enhance reputation of company
    • Coordinate with FD to establish budget for marketing materials and events
    • Review marketing strategy and budget regularly to ensure progress is made

Associate Director, New Business - Political Engagment Company

The right candidate will be a competent sales person and will thrive in a results-driven environment. As a person you are strong-willed, good at motivating others and willing to work independently. You are a skilled persuader and negotiator who knows when and how to close a deal.

Your role will include acting as point of contact for clients during the bidding process, identifying new business opportunities and managing the sales process across the whole company.



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Track record of success hitting targets and/or organisational growth goals
  • Experience within the same field is strongly preferred

What's on Offer

Base salary of £50,000 - £65,000 plus bonus.
