Job Description

The responsibilities of this role will include carrying out statutory audits at all stages from planning to completion, and you will be expected to attend and lead all client correspondence and meetings and allocate the work flow to the rest of the team. You should be an approachable and accommodating team member and have positive leadership skills for the rest of the team, leading by example in a professional manner at all times. Other tasks will include:

  • Accounts preparation
  • General business advice to clients
  • Manage the overall service delivery and results to clients
  • Support the partner with ad hoc work accordingly
  • Special projects throughout the year
  • Client billing and job recoverability
  • Attend client meetings and travel when necessary
  • Assist in supervising and managing the audit team, including staff appraisals, career development and by offering support as a mentor as assigned
  • Ensure the general running of the audit department along with other managers

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate (ACA/ACCA qualified) for this manager position will be expected to multitask and run multiple assignments at any one time. You will have the technical and personal skills to service a demanding portfolio of clients efficiently and effectively.

Excellent communication skills are essential for the role and confidence in all areas of Audit. You should be articulate and presentable.

  • Ability to produce high quality business style reports for non executive committees
  • A team player with the ability to prioritise workload and work within set deadlines and budgets
  • Strong organisational skills
