About Our Client

In addition to the 2 UK offices, they have ten overseas offices employing in excess of 400 staff which have developed from the substantial amount of international work in which they are involved.

Job Description

  • Reviewing the management accounts for UK and multi-national companies and groups, prepared by staff within the department.
  • Advising on VAT and PAYE matters, including the review of quarterly VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastats etc
  • Assisting startups in all aspects of financial support
  • Implementation of accounting and computerised financial systems
  • UK financial reporting including annual accounts of limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
  • One-off project work including investigations and occasional secondments to clients
  • Reviewing and reporting on financial information systems
  • Development of staff within the department, including reviews
  • Multi currency accounting
  • General business advice on a wide range of subjects to clients

The client base that the department deals with is extensive, ranging from high net worth individuals to multi national groups including:

  • Art galleries and antique dealers
  • Subsidiaries of quoted overseas corporations
  • Technology & e-commerce companies
  • Sports personalities/Motor racing
  • PR and Marketing
  • Property development and investment
  • Upmarket retails suppliers and outlet

The Successful Applicant

The main criteria for any candidate applying for this position is a combination of strong personality and communication skills which have been built around a sound knowledge of accounting and accounting issues. The individual, who will have a recognised accountancy qualification, will be able to demonstrate that they have worked in an environment where it is necessary to deliver accurate information on a timely basis.
