About Our Client

Purpose of B2B Marketing Manager role

Lighting is a new category at Dyson, with Jake Dyson light becoming part of the wider business in January 2015. We have huge ambitions for the category and the B2B arm is an incredibly important driver for the success of the category. To enable our success we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial B2B marketing manager.

The role will drive the global B2B strategy for lighting working closely with the Head of Marketing and our local markets. You will be a vital part of driving our B2B business. From working with engineering on product positioning, to leading our digital, trade marketing and PR teams in creating materials and driving awareness, to training our global sales team.

We need someone who can break away from norms and think differently.

Job Description

Main Accountabilities for B2B Marketing Manager

  1. Compelling basics
  • Ensuring that the global sales team is equipped with all of the sales and marketing collateral required to turn a sales meeting into an order.
  • Developing a best in category website to inspire architects, designers and business owners and drive leads.
  • Staying close to the PR team to drive compelling press releases, inspire influencers and capture the imagination of architects and designers.
  1. Drive awareness and excitement with the architect and design community
  • Create and implement a seeding strategy, ensuring our lights are in high profile, targeted locations. Amplify these seeding locations via PR, video case studies & social media to ensure we maximise awareness.
  • Select appropriate press and digital advertising opportunities
  • Presence at the right trade shows and events, with the right partners
  • Create engaging and disruptive social campaigns
  1. Building Winning Relationships.
  • Lead a training programme to ensure every agent and sales manager are as knowledgeable and passionate about our products and the Dyson ethos as we are.
  • Be an ambassador to lighting within the wider Dyson business. Co-ordinate product training for all staff.
  • Build a compelling communication programme to communicate with leads and existing customers
  1. Lead Generation.
  • Play a role in sales scripts for a lead generating telemarketing campaign
  • Evolve the global PPC/GDN strategy working closely with our media agency

The Successful Applicant

The successful B2B Marketing Manager will be:

  • Educated to degree standard
  • With minimum of 3-4 yrs + marketing experience with the bulk of this time in B2B marketing
  • Effective and concise communicator both written and verbal
  • Ability to talk to and influence key decision makers
  • Strong listening and questioning ability.
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Eager to learn new skills and develop.
  • Self-starter, motivated and tenacious
  • Results and target driven
  • Hungry for success
  • Team player
  • Eagerness to persevere
  • Strong project management with the ability to manage multiple projects
