Job Description

As the successful Bid Manager for this leading Property company in London you will provide first class support to the Residential business which specialises in all areas of local, national and international property.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strong project management to ensure a well-planned, organised and controlled process, taking personal responsibility to drive the process forward.
  • Devising a clear win strategy for each bid and articulating it to the team in a convincing way.
  • Ensure that the strategy is implemented throughout the process.
  • Managing bid meetings confidently, inspiring enthusiasm and support for the bid.
  • Provide hands-on management and support including the drafting, editing, formatting and production of bid documents and pitches through to completion.
  • Ensuring the bid document is compelling, well written, attractive and accurate.
  • Coaching and guiding on effective presentation techniques, both through ad hoc workshops and specific pitch rehearsal as part of the bid process, delivering feedback on performance.
  • Working with the wider team to manage the bid pipeline, maximising the chances of success when the bid invitation arrives.
  • Ensure formal go / no go decisions.
  • Continually develop the library of high quality baseline materials for use in proposals as standard text.
  • Make continual improvements to the understanding and implementation of bid best practice.
  • Conduct debriefs and analyse feedback on our performance on bids, whether won or lost, and use this intelligence to improve the quality of future bids.
  • Define and promote best practice proposal processes across the business.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Bid Manager for this leading Property company will have:

  • Proven track record in a Bid Management position.
  • Property / real estate knowledge.
  • Significant software package expertise in Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Microsoft office.
  • Strong grammatical and literacy skills allied to a strong sense of creativity and ability to adapt style to suit bespoke projects.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong organisational capability.
  • Attention to detail with a critical eye.
  • Ability to manage information flow and timetables to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and internal influencing skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility of working hours as necessary.
  • Experience working within a broader BD / marketing team.
