This accountancy boutique is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior to aid the business in providing a personal service to clients.

Our client is a reputable growing Soho firm in Central London with a local and international network of clients.

The Semi-Senior will enjoy building relationships with existing and new clients in this friendly, sociable boutique. The firm regularly take part in networking events as well as arranged social events which will provide you with the opportunity to spend time with your colleagues outside of the work environment.

Job Description

This position will also allow you to work closely with Partners within the firm who will aid you in developing your skills.

The role will be focused around carrying out 50% accounts tasks and 50% Audit work with clients with between £1-90million turnovers. An element of overseas travel to Europe and further afield may be possible.

  • Take responsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting deadlines.
  • Setting objectives for more junior staff and supervising them on site, reviewing their work and coaching on the job where necessary.
  • Assisting with planning, executing and completion of audits and be willing to become in charge on audit assignments.
  • Close liaison with clients, and other stakeholders, often direct contact at Partner level.
  • Carry out audit / accounts and related tax assignments.
  • Spotting Practice Development opportunities with clients and progressing these in liaison with Partner.
  • Involvement in planning of assignments.
  • Preparation of accounts of companies, groups of companies, partnerships and LLP's.
  • Motivation and encouragement of team.
  • Preparation and reviewing of accounts.
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations, completion and submission to HMRC.
  • Assistance with Corporate finance work as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Fully or Part Qualified to ACA/ACCA level with previous work in practice.
  • Technically competent
  • Having previously managed a client portfolio.
  • Good understanding of corporate tax.
  • High level of personal motivation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willing to get involved and help clients.
  • Ability to organise and motivate the team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively
