About Our Client

My client are a leading UK Media and Entertainment business with a diverse offering that appeals to all consumer groups. They are based from new offices in West London.

Job Description

The Brand Manager reports to the Division Head and will take full responsibility for the following areas:

  • Has marketing ownership for designated camapigns across the Brand.
  • Lead and Implement ATL & BTL strategies & campaign plans, including media, advertising, branding, digital marketing, partnerships, & experiential etc.
  • Manages & takes joint responsibility for delivering impacts across whole brand / programme marketing campaigns; under general direction from line manager.
  • Typical areas of ownership include programme trailers across the network and all elements of the external media mix; building bespoke marketing plans, & leading agency teams.
  • Has dotted line management responsibility for Marketing Assistant
  • Own the delivery of the brand's Key Performance Indicators targets.
  • Track and report marketing spend for brand / programme marketing campaigns.
  • Administer the brand marketing budget; raising PO's, tracking & reporting accordingly.
  • Use key data sources to monitor on-going brand / programme / marketing performance, to evaluate campaigns and optimise brand plans going forward.
  • Inputs strategic thinking into brand planning process, Brand Positioning and SWOT analysis etc.
  • Be a key source of input day to day, in cross-functional project teams, leading key marketing projects and driving cross functional collaboration & communication; (including presentations to senior managers, in key decision making forums).

The Successful Applicant

The candidate that is successful in securing the Brand Manager role may be asipiring to this level in either a traditional Brand role (in FMCG, Consumer Products or TV) OR delivering Brand campaigns from Agency side being able to demonstrate high performance and potential. You will also bring the following skills and attributes

  • A genuine passion for and interest in TV.
  • Ability to develop & evaluate media plans; in conjunction with the agency.
  • Understanding of the role of Marcomms and how marketing creatives aid that process.
  • Working understanding of Marketing ROI and use it to contribute to evaluation of marketing effectiveness.
  • Understanding of network/ channel commercial needs, and the ability to develop compelling marketing investment cases to drive channel performance.
  • Working understanding of brands & branding, with the ability to input into the strategic processes behind brand propositions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (at own level & above) within the department / channel team, cross-functionally, and externally with agencies.
  • An ability to develop bespoke, multi-layered marketing campaigns, leveraging any element of the mix using agencies or cross department expertise.
  • First-hand experience of a min. of 5 elements of the ATL/BTL marketing mix; (e.g. PR stunts, Outdoor, Digital, Press, Radio etc.)
  • Experience of taking a project / plan element through the system, from inception to in-market delivery & evaluation.
  • An ability to set KPIs and understand & interpret the results of consumer research / campaign evaluations etc.
  • Demonstrable evidence of inventiveness, savvy, trust, ownership & passion in previous roles / jobs.
  • Takes a proactive approach to work and be comfortable with an ever changing environment where priorities can be fluid.

What's on Offer

The role offers between £35,000 and £40,000 basic depending on relevancy to the position coupled with excellent Benefits package.
