Job Description

As a business analyst and key member of the Regulatory Reporting (RR) project team responsible for bringing about change in the RR team process and systems, the successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:

  1. Understand current reporting processes - trades/positions, reference data, feeds, reporting systems, reports etc.
  2. Liaise with our technology partner (internal and external) to understand the mapping of financial products in the target platform
  3. Understand the scope of change being implemented to the regulatory reporting in relation to data take-on and valuations - upstream systems, data feeds, impacts on capital, liquidity, exposure, statistical etc.
  4. Prepare test plans for the in-scope financial products and test the impacts on business processes, regulatory returns, systems flow etc.
  5. Execute the test plan and document results, business processes observed as a consequence of the changes to upstream systems, data flows, processing etc.
  6. Ensure control processes remain fit for purpose and where necessary be able to design suitable controls to improve the overall control framework
  7. Work with IT and business teams to investigate any issues, find root cause and drive towards timely resolution
  8. Provide support to the reporting team to integrate the changes to the reporting requirements and processes
  9. Provide regular status updates, pass/fail statistics to the Project Manager
  10. Pro-actively liaise with other teams within Regulatory Reporting and Risk to ensure that the relevant deliveries are consistent, controlled and delivered to the required level of accuracy.

The Successful Applicant

Suitable candidates will be an experienced Business analyst and ideally have a strong accounting / product control background. Preferably with a CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualification.

My client requires excellent product knowledge around Derivatives for example Interest Rate Derivatives including future / SWAPS or Options.

It is also essential that you have an understanding of regulatory capital treatment and returns.

This role would suit someone who has a pro-active nature who is able to demonstrate initiative and a hands on approach.

What's on Offer

6 month contract with a likely extension for another 6 months.

Day rate £450 - £550

Client is also open to flex on rate for the right candidate skill set.
