About Our Client

My client is a London-based Internet start-up. It has secured the exclusive rights from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to launch and operate a top-level domain. ICANN is the global regulatory agency responsible for the Internet's domain name policies. My client's new Internet extension (like .com,, or .org) is part of ICANN's recent program to expand the number and choice of domain extensions for the public. My client has the exciting opportunity to create new Internet real estate dedicated to the art world. My client's founder is an entrepreneur and pioneering businessman and in 2014 was recognised by Forbes as one of Russia's leading venture capitalists.

Job Description

The successful Business Analyst - top-level domain start-up will be directly communicating with the senior management, so they should have a flexible and open approach to catch up with the dynamic and rapid workflow. My client's business combines technology and art, and the role is extremely hands' on, broad and suited to someone who is happy to get soaked in all areas of this young, growing and exciting business.

In this opportunity, you will play an important role in building and preparing my client to launch through different projects and opportunities. This will range from research to making my client the art world's exclusive domain.

The successful Business Analyst - top-level domain start-up will strive for learning about art, domain technologies, and will have great curiosity and desire to grow in the role to potentially handle projects on your own by using your drive, commercial acumen and analytical thinking.

Ideally using experience in working within the field of the domain industry, consultancy, research, or project management, the successful Business Analyst - top-level domain start-up will manage to run independently and deliver results.

The Successful Applicant

Key areas of responsibility:

  1. Research
  • Handle various research projects on the art, technology, and domain fields
  • Prepare presentations to effectively communicate results
  1. Assistance with Project Management
  • Identify the project's business needs and solutions
  • Liaising internally and with outside business partners for timely conclusion of each project
  • Manage / lead the whole project (depending on experience)
  1. Work directly with the C-level
  • Get directly involved with various aspects of our business from strategy, partnership building, marketing, and sales.

Skills needed:

  • University degree, preferably a BS degree in business management, engineering or political science
  • Analytical thinking and ability to examine task from different perspectives
  • Outstanding knowledge of Office, Adobe is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communications in English, preferably additional languages
  • Enthusiastic learner, with open minded and pro-active approach
  • Good balance of bold attitude / idea maker and practical business mind
  • Knowledge of technology, domains, and art will be ideal
  • Meticulous attention to detail
