Job Description

Working closely within a newly established Business Improvement function, the Business Analyst is a critical role, responsible for supporting 10 business improvement programmes across a range of business areas. Responsibilities may include:

  • Work with process users and senior stakeholders to proactively gather requirements for additional system functionality and process gaps for increased efficiency.
  • Assess the impact of new processes and systems on business performance.
  • Provide end-to-end project engagement for large-scale change programmes, through requirements gathering, writing specifications, development, testing and implementation.
  • Act as a key conduit between the business and IT, ensuring that user requirements and design specifications are upheld throughout the project life cycle.
  • Document any amended systems or processes, providing training where necessary to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of business functions, including, Finance, IT and HR to identify requirements for future projects

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the Business Analyst role, candidates should adhere to the following:

  • Strong commercial and business acumen, capable of quickly identifying and understanding departmental processes, objectives and priorities.
  • Track record of conducting detailed process mapping in complex, brownfield environments.
  • Strong understanding of, or certification in Business Analysis or continual improvement disciplines (eg. ISEB, Six Sigma)
  • Highly organised, analytical and process-driven mentality.
  • Degree education or above in Business, IT or other related discipline.
