Job Description

The role of the Business Development Executive based in the City of London will require:

  • Generate accounts within their given territories
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and other internal departments.
  • A resilient and tenacious personality
  • Learning about the product is key to enable selling to new clients
  • Upholding the company's ethos and values by helping to maintain their market leading reputation
  • Manage the new business process from researching, identifying, contacting and closing
  • Achieve KPIs relating to visits, demonstrations, creation of opportunities
  • This role is definitely a proactive selling role and would suit a self-starter business development professional who is motivated, target driven

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will exhibit:

  • Fantastic interpersonal skills
  • A drive to succeed in the commercial world
  • Strong communicative skills with an ability to represent a product in a marketplace
  • A track record in B2B selling
  • Willingness and ability to systematically and methodically prospect and generate own leads.
  • Highly analytical and able to understand the client's needs and propose solutions
  • An ease at building meaningful relationships at all levels, primarily over the phone and email, but with occasional face to face
  • Team player who can self-motivate to reach targets
  • Previous experience in the commercial insight or business information would be advantageous but not essential
  • Hunger for continued development
  • Presence and natural ability to engender trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Evidence of maintaining strong relationships
