Job Description

This role provides the successful applicant with the opportunity to manage existing key accounts whilst simultaneously identifying opportunities for new business. Within this role approximately 70% of your time will be spent customer facing; you should be skilled in identifying and creating cohesive working relationships with key decision makers in the industry.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a winning sales strategy by analysing trends and specific target markets in order to deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  • Ensure you update the portfolio with your business intelligence so you can coordinate specific clients on a market level jointly with other sales colleagues.
  • Adjusting sales strategy on the basis of market knowledge and business intelligence.
  • Report directly into the Commercial Cargo Manager
  • Be comfortable working in the field; this role is 70% customer facing and 30% working within the office along side you other sales colleagues coordinating your client base and lead generation.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, tenacious individual who is proven new business winner. The ability to identify and manage customer and working relationship is also key. You must be both adaptable and dynamic in order to succeed within this environment.

Some ideal attributes include:

  • Ideally university educated or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and cargo industry would be beneficial within this role, although proven B2B sales experience and strong business acumen are also strong attributes for this role.
  • You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to easily adapt your sales technique dependant on the situation
  • Proven sales experience and business acumen
  • You should have a key focus on customer relationships and the quality of their experience with the company.

Basic salary: £27,000 - £33,000 (dependant on experience)
