Job Description

Reporting to the Group Managing Director as the international Business Development Manager Auger Torque are looking for a proven sales professional to ignite target international regions through setting up a stable distributor network.
 
You will be primarily responsible for growing the turnover and profitability of the business across multiple countries specifically Middle East, Asia and South America.
 
Working as part of a Global Management team your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Creating new international markets for Auger Torque through distribution and major OEM's
  • Liaise with the internationally based sales teams across multiple countries including Middle East and Asia
  • Working closely with the engineering divisions within Auger Torque in winning sub-contract manufacturing business
  • Actively seek to provide market intelligence to the design team for new products and improvements
  • Winning OEM excavator customers

The Successful Applicant

Critical to the success of the Business Development Manager will be previous experience within the Construction Plant manufacture/Automotive component industry or similar markets, with a track record of developing and managing multiple stakeholders. The Business Development Manager will be:

  • Ideally degree level educated or equivalent with a genuine interest in Mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrable evidence of setting up sustainable distribution networks outside of Europe and evidence of winning OEM contracts
  • Focused on sales development, adding value and consistently high service levels
  • Adept at managing complex negotiations associated with the OEM contracts
  • Adept at influencing internal and external decision makers at all levels, including Board
  • Strong ethics: work honestly and with integrity
  • Self -motivated and results-driven

With HQ based out of the South West of England, the ideal candidate will be commutable to this location but this role will include a high proportion of international travel.

What's on Offer

The successful candidate can expect a total salary of £70,000
