Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced 'IT Services Business Development Manager' to manage new and existing commercial client relationships whilst identifying new business opportunities and upselling additional IT services. You will be responsible for maintaining the revenue and gross profit of each account ensuring they remain profitable and in line with annual targets.

The Account Manager role:

  • Build upon loyal customer base and sustain strong customer relationships by developing a comprehensive understanding of each customer's business (by personal visits, telephone calls) and requirements in order to generate and maximise the revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities (up-sell additional services) and coordinating with the Client Solutions Team, provide quotations and proposals (within SLA's)
  • Progressively manage an opportunity pipeline, closing all possible opportunities to achieve a Gross Profit result in line with quarterly targets.
  • Ensure the upkeep of electronic records using our CRM Systems
  • To project manage the roll-out of all new contracts and services
  • Ensure that accurate reporting of each customer's product and service provision is provided monthly to the Accounts Department (billing)
  • Measure Customer levels of satisfaction monthly and develop and implement improvement plans to ensure that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained
  • Produce reports (weekly, monthly etc.) on all aspects of account activity to the company Directors

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Requirements:

. Previous Business Development experience within an IT Services organisation is desirable

. Proven experience of maintaining and developing client relationships

. Strong IT / Technical knowledge

. Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)

. Professional and proactive approach with the drive to succeed

£45,000 - £50,000 pa basic + £5,000pa Car Allowance + OTE of £70,000 - £75,000pa
