Job Description

The primary responsibility for the Business Development Manager is to oversee the daily operation of the designated region which includes planning, developing and managing sales staff activities, promoting new products, achieving sales budgets, and forecasting inventory requirements.

Further responsibilities include:-

  • Managing, developing, leveraging existing relationships whilst identifying new sales opportunities across the UK.
  • Working with existing distributors to maximise the sale of existing and new products.
  • Increasing the market share by monitoring competitor activity and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Build and execute strategic business plans both quarterly and annually.
  • Working closely with the General Manager to recommend and propose sales and advertising initiatives.
  • Taking real ownership in driving the UK business in a positive direction

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Business Development Manager will:-

  • Ideally be degree educated preferably, with an Engineering degree.
  • Preferably have experience in the hosing/hydraulics industry however, an industrial sales background will suffice.
  • Have a strong sales track record in business development and account management.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with exceptional customer service levels.
  • Will be able to communicate confidently to various stakeholders at various levels.
  • Will be a self starter, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual
  • Be able to travel nationally across the UK

What's on Offer

  • Basic Salary £55,000 - £65,000 dependant upon experience
