My client is a law firm with big ambitions for both their clients and their people. Formed in June 2015, they are the leading law firm in the Midlands operating from offices in Birmingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes, London, Nottingham, Solihull and Stratford upon Avon. Working with organisations of all sizes our team delivers a broad range of specialist legal services, and has particular expertise across sectors including but not limited to; energy, education, banking & financial services, investment funds and advanced manufacturing.

Job Description

* supporting the firm's sector strategy working closely with a number of chosen sectors to push and develop BD and cross-selling opportunities across the firm
* leading individual, team and sector BD meetings
* working closely with other team members to deliver sector specific events, targeted comms and tenders
* assisting on the delivery of tenders, ad-hoc proposals and pitch preparation
* campaign creation from inception to delivery and measurement of ROI
* supporting workshop facilitation including issues definition and persona workshops
* production of website and brochure copy and creation of bespoke credentials and other marketing materials
* carrying out client and target research
* development and maintenance of reports including tender and sales pipelines

The Successful Applicant

* a minimum of three years, working as part of a marketing / business development team - ideally gained within a professional services environment
* experience of developing and supporting on the delivery of business development strategies
* experience delivering successful tenders and proposals
* experience of deploying the full marketing mix
* experience of completing client/competitor research or client segmentation
* experience of co-ordinating events and campaigns
* Command of all Microsoft computer packages is essential
* previous experience of client databases or CRM systems is highly desirable
* to be educated to degree-level (or equivalent)

* strong writing skills and good attention to detail is paramount
* the ability to prioritise workload and organise effectively
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* enthusiasm, commitment and a team player approach the ability to work in a busy team
* ability to hit the ground running; ideally a self-motivated team player

What's on Offer

Basic salary of £28,000 per annum.
