About Our Client

My Client is a foodservice wholesaler and distributor based in the United Kingdom. The company operates as two main divisions, Foodservice and Logistics, as well as several specialist or local divisions and brands.

Job Description


Work with existing customer base, being competent and utilising most recent technology ie Cashpoint to develop profitable sales growth in line with or above the sales & profit targets, E commerce and the online platform




Identify and develop profitable business with new customers in order to increase market share and size of the market within the region.




Ensure all 'BM Standards' are adhered to with evidence to support compliance




Work with specialists and external alliance partners to ensure that all opportunities to work profitably with our existing and potential customer base are being utilised to meet or exceed pillar profit targets




Communicate across the Specialists and other business areas (UDM and National) to ensure there is a coordinated approach and activity with the customer.




Manage the relationship with the customer and ensure all queries and issues are dealt with in order to retain the customer's long term loyalty.




Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas to ensure the client can provide a continued level of service to its customers and utilise opportunities for growth.




Health & safety responsibilities:

  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Support the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation process.
  • Comply with all verbal and written instructions in matters pertaining to Health & Safety.
  • Attend Health & Safety training courses as per instructions from line managers.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Driven, positive, self-motivated, ambitious individual
  2. Strong organisational and account management skills
  3. Preferred experience in a role
  4. Relevant Sales qualifications or busfield salesiness qualification to A level standard or equivalent
  5. Experience of food and/or product sales (either food service, retail, supply side)
  6. Excellent understanding of industry, external market and a broad commercial understanding of 3663
  7. Competent in using technology
  8. Excellent customer knowledge and contacts in order to deliver new opportunities
  9. Skill and experience at building strong relationships with customers
  10. Exceptional selling and influencing skills
  11. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  12. Current driving licence and ability to work across the region as required for customer base
