This role is for one of the largest membership , travel and tourism brands, with over 1 million customers and several hundred sites across the UK and Europe, based in West Sussex

Job Description

The main purpose of this Business / Marketing Analyst is to develop and deliver the best strategy though analysing marketing activity, including digital, customer experience and journey, product pricing and performance and buying patterns and behaviours. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Marketing, the responsibilities of the role will also include:

  • Take the lead on providing high quality analysis, insight and data as well as recommendations to support business objectives and cases.
  • Understanding, predicting and improving the performance and strategy of their products network
  • Develop a UK specific segmentation model by assessing a number of factors, both external and internal, to provide a strategy to target each segment
  • Evaluate and analyse customer trends and behaviours, in particular to pricing (historic movements, seasons and promotions)
  • Provide strategic support by mapping out the customer journey, digital analytics, competitor analysis and opportunities for the business, in particular the Ecommerce team
  • Identify and map out the process for improvement, utilising technology and recommending solutions

The Successful Applicant

To be a success in this Business / Marketing Analyst, you will need the following:

  • Degree educated or professional qualification
  • Worked in a similar role, ideally in the leisure, travel, tourism or related sectors
  • Strong understanding analytics in a ecommerce or digital marketing setting
  • Preferred knowledge and / or experience in business analysis methods such as UML, IDEFO and BPMN (Lean and Six Sigma) as well as more modern approaches (Google Analytics)
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and evaluation skills
  • Knowledge of marketing, finance, accounting and metric development, with statistical analysis skills a plus
