This growing and successful Yeovil based accountancy practice has developed a leading reputation in the provision of accounting, planning and advisory services to the rural, agricultural and related sectors. The team is made up with individuals with a real understanding of the sector, many with family background and/or direct experience in the field. As a result of ongoing growth, an opportunity is available for a career focused and ambitious Business Services Manager to join the team, focused in this sector. Joining the firm in a key addition to this specialist team as a Business Services Manager, you will take responsibility for the management and provision of accounting, tax and advisory/planning services to a wide spectrum of agricultural and rurally related clients. You will manage a client portfolio and look to build relationships with your clients, providing an added value service and look at act as a long term adviser to your clients. You will manage a team and look to develop their careers. You will manage the provision of varied accounting services for sole traders , limited companies and partnerships, corporate and personal tax and build relationships with your clients. Given the growth in the business and structure of the firm, excellent prospects are on offer to develop in this leading firm towards senior management and beyond.
The Successful Applicant
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with a background in accountancy practice as a Business Services Manager or similar level. You must have a background in the accountancy practice sector, and will have people management experience with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team. You will ideally have relevant experience and knowledge of the Rural sector, with up to date accounting knowledge - including accounting standards. Along with this you will have a strong accounts preparation background and ideally, some tax experience and knowledge of CGT and IHT planning for the agricultural sector would be beneficial.
What's on Offer
£35,000 - £45,000 or more, dependent on experience, background and level, negotiable.
