Job Description

As a Senior Buyer you will be a key role in the team delivering category strategies and driving strong financial performance and compliance through the leverage of group spend. The role will implement a hands-on contract management and operational performance strategy, within the framework of the contract. The post holder is required to deliver best practice contract management and drive value for money commercial decisions. The role holder will be the recognised as a key business representative for Procurement and Contracts at senior level within the governance structure for the contract, both with internal Group and Engineering functions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful applicant for the role of Senior Buyer based in Manchester will have the following skills:

* Degree, MCIPS, or equivalent qualifications.

* 5 years relevant procurement experience, including relevant M&E, Construction experience.

* Commercially and contractually aware.

* Willing to travel

* Track record of establishing and maintaining strong and enduring business relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Salary - £35,000 - £45,000
