Job Description

This is a new position created to assist the purchasing department. For the right candidate, progression and training will be provided in order to develop your skill set as a buyer.

Description of responsibilities for the Buyer, reporting to the Purchasing manager:

  • Order processing/raising purchase orders
  • Key supplier relationship management
  • Expediting
  • System updates
  • Sourcing of products
  • Liaising with other internal departments ensuring deadlines are met
  • Regular reviews of key performance indicators

Profile for the successful buyer:

  • Good commercial background
  • Need to understand wider business needs
  • Have worked in a similar environment
  • Career aspirations within purchasing
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to manage your time effectively
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong system/excel knowledge
