Job Description

So, what will you actually be doing?

As the Buying Director you'll be leading the buying, QC and Design teams in their creation and delivery of a profitable and commercial range to maximise sales. Sitting on the board you will also be involved in formulating the strategic Direction of the company.

Having an inspirational and motivating management style you'll get the most out of the team to achieve more and continue to grow the success of the range.

You will have a sound knowledge and awareness of key trends in the market, including styles, shapes, fabrics colours etc.

Working closely with the Design team you will look to implement and agree a Design strategy for the department. With a clear strategy in place, you will effectively manage & develop the supply base, through optimising your relationship with key suppliers.

Using your creativity, you'll work closely with the Marketing and Creative team to ensure the Catalogue range has the maximum sales opportunity and makes the collection look great and appealing to our customers!

The Successful Applicant

So, what are we looking for?

You'll be someone who has a passion and flair for product with excellent knowledge of the Ladieswear product areas. This will include in depth knowledge of Ladieswear garment manufacture, plus the fit and sealing process.

You'll have significant experience at a senior Buying level or above. Having managed a team across buying and design previously.

Being self-motivated, you'll be highly organised and have a confident approach in making commercial decisions.

This role would suit a team player with a positive attitude. Someone who is prepared to roll their sleeves up and lead by example as well as adopting current processes.
