Leading FMCG business based in the East Midlands

Job Description

  • Communicating competitor insights to the customer on a regular basis.
  • Turning market and retailer data into truly actionable insights.
  • Working with the Category Analyst and Development teams to turn market trends into commercial opportunities.
  • Evaluation of 'market gap' opportunities for the category and if they translate into commercially viable propositions.
  • Involvement in ad hoc project work as required.
  • Macro and micro space management within the category
  • Keep abreast of the latest news/info in the trade press and wider press

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • 'Hands on' can do, flexible approach
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Strongly analytical and inquisitive
  • Methodical / logical / planned approach to problem solving
  • Attention to detail - right first time delivery
  • Creative thinker with an ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Food industry experience desirable but not essential
  • A 'So What?' approach to insights and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of food industry data sources eg. Kantar, Neilsen, Brandview, , Dunnhumby etc
