About Our Client

Our client is a global services organisation based in the West Midlands.

Job Description

The Category Manager (Indirect) will be responsible for the following core competencies:

  • Establish, build and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders to enable the Category Strategy to be effectively implemented and maintained
  • Build and update on an annual basis the Category Strategy in conjunction with the business stakeholders and the Global Centre of Excellence
  • Deliver the annual Category plan, with regard to value, service, spend under management and supplier rationalisation
  • Ensure all Procurement policies, procedures and processes are followed
  • Build an external network of benchmarks to ensure that category-specific, industry-leading solutions are sought and implemented

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Category Manager (Generalist Indirect) for this major global organisation will demonstrate the following core competencies:

- Degree or equivalent qualification
- CIPS (Preferable)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement functions within large businesses
- Category knowledge and expertise
- Private sector exposure would be advantageous

What's on Offer

Available to candidate is £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Car or Allowance, Bonus and Contributory Pension
