Our client is a global Utilities Organisation based in the West Midlands

Job Description

The Category Manager for this global Utilities Organisation based in West Midlands will be responsible for:

- Category Management best practice within all indirect categories including Professional Services, Facilities Management, IT and HR
- Building sincere stakeholder engagement
- Ensuring procurement policies, procedures and processes are followed
- Build an external network of category specific benchmarks
- Driving procurement best practice
- Contribution to the wider procurement team activities
- Supplier relationship management activities and driving category performance
- Year on year cost savings and process improvement
- Deliver Category plans that reflect value, service and spend

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Category Manager for this Utilities Organisation based the West Midlands would demonstrate the following core competencies:

- CIPS or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven Category Management exposure
- Strong track record of year on year cost savings
- An understanding of contract law and contract drafting
- Familiarity of change management projects
- Outstanding record of supplier relationship management and process improvement
