Job Description

Category Management & Sourcing - Development of one, three and five year category plans, to include plan for individual sourcing projects, identified cost saving benefits and time frames for category development.

Team Development - Develop team into a high performing function of the company demonstrating:

  • To be role model for procurement and team
  • Delegation skills;
  • Performance of team members;
  • Workload and resource management;
  • Personal Development Programmes for staff and self; and
  • Succession planning.

Supplier Relationship Management - Accountable for managing relationships with key suppliers within the category, leading supplier relationships and when required conflict resolution

Stakeholder Relationship Management - Creating buy-in amongst all category stakeholders to implement category and supplier strategies

Driving Innovation - Generating an agreed number of new process improvement possibilities through the category management process

Demand Management - Identify opportunities to reduce cost by agreed objectives through effective management of demand through policy and buying behaviour
